Q Do i Need LASIK ? My eyes get a dry.... Is it alright if I go ahead with the surgery?
Your check up also involves a quantitative check for "dry eyes" and we grade it as mild, moderate or severe. If having a score fitting in severe dry eyes, no laser is recommended since it will aggravate dryness. then you need to first get the dry eye condition treated. If mild to moderate, many centers would either do LASIK and you may end up having dry eyes for a long time, but in our center we evenhave the option of EpiLASIK which does not aggravate dryness and is just a modification in the initial process of LASIK, the laser used to treat the numbers being the same.
